The specific balls that they need and ordered Saturday are now on back order. Gonna call and cancel the order tomorrow after we find out if AndyMark fills the order we placed today. AndyMark please come thru for us!!!!

This year is different, I have already spent 2 of the 3 days in the shop listening to the kids talk about, think about, strategize about and dream about “the game”. The game is FIRST Robotics Competition’s (FRC) called Rebound Rumble. If it were me I would have no clue where to begin. I almost don’t even want to know what they are doing because when I hear it, I don’t think its achievable, but this is because I don’t have an Engineering mind. God gave me a creative mind instead, not the most creative but adequate. I will be there tomorrow to help J with some small tasks that are just time consuming. I don’t mind because I can watch from a distance, watch my daughter speak her mind and give her ideas. It makes me so proud to see how well she talks and I admire that she is fearless. And she is so well spoken, well educated on what she is saying. Not just blurting out something like one kid did today. ‘It would be easier if I could use my notes’… ‘did you take notes?’ … ‘no’ This is on a small quiz that the lead mentor gave tonight on the rules. The same rules every robotics kid needs to know before, during and after the build and competitions. Only 4 kids got 7 or more correct. FOUR out of TWENTY SEVEN. Lets see how they do tomorrow. Think the kid will take notes now? Well it was nice to know that my teen only missed 2 so she was one of the 4 that did well. she got a measurement wrong by 2 inches. 

So tomorrow is half way into week 1. Will they have the strategy decided? will they have the concept of the robot decided?  How long will this take this year. Last year it was the whole week. … I will keep update.
